Certification is also necessary to import goods from abroad to the Ukrainian market. The process of compulsory certification defines whether the goods’ parameters comply with the requirements in the normative documents envisaged by Ukrainian Law. The Certification acquires special importance during customs procedures. Import of goods liable for compulsory certification at the customs’ territory is implemented in line with the Order of Registration of Imported Goods Liable for Compulsory Certification in the Ukraine, approved by the Decree of the Ukrainian Council of Ministers of 14.05.2008 No. 446.
The list of goods liable to compulsory certification embraces a limited range of goods, and compulsory certification is implemented only in terms of security.
