EU DIRECTIVE (European Union)

  EC Directives are the basic legal documents of the European Union; they establish mandatory product requirements that should be applied and executed. EC Directives define the aims to be reached by the European Union member states, leaving a chance for each member to develop its own legislation in order to fulfill the mandatory requirements of any specific Directive.
